ABOUT THIS ARTWORK:
The city emerges as a remnant of human structure, a space built from language -an implicit agreement that shapes systems. However, in this post-apocalyptic landscape, nature reclaims its place.

The rigidity of the city fractures and organic chaos begins to take form. What was once word and ideas -concrete, steel, rules- is now being took over by a semi-visible natural force.

Hod, the 8th sefirah (Glory), is the dimension associated with speech, logical communication and symbolic structure. It manifests in the city as a web of meanings, where every street, building and ruins echoes a fundamental need: to organize, name and codify the collective experience.

Hod governs voluntary processes and the activities of the brain’s left hemisphere, channeling the practicality of Gevurah (5th sefirah) into human psyche. While Netzach (7th sefirah) is the artist, Hod is the scientist, the mathematician and the accountant in a suit.

This artwork intends to serve as a reminder that human order is fleeting in the face of life’s primordial force. The tension between structure and wildness reflects Hod’s paradox: language both connects and divides, enabling the development of systems while also confining them within rigid structures.

The city symbolizes the legacy of human discourse, while nature represents that which does not need to be named to exist. Those who observe this painting closely will discover hidden animals within lines and textures. And above all, an amethyst eye gazing upon us, transforming what it observes.
